Maracas Bay
Consulting Inc.

We help programs get back on track — and stay there.

Maracas Bay steps into complex, high-stakes programs that have lost momentum, alignment, or structure — and we help teams deliver. No big firm overhead. Just experienced people doing focused work.

Sound familiar?
  • Your program is behind schedule and the root cause isn't clear
  • Business and tech teams are working from different playbooks
  • Governance exists on paper, but not in practice
  • Vendors are managing you more than you're managing them
  • Leadership confidence in the program is quietly eroding
If two or more of these hit close to home, we should talk. We've seen this before — and we know how to fix it.
Who We Are
Most transformation failures aren't strategy failures. They're execution failures.

Maracas Bay was built for exactly this problem. We're a focused consulting firm that works with organizations navigating complex programs — the kind where the stakes are high, timelines are tight, and execution has to go right.

We're not a big firm. That's on purpose. When you work with us, you get experienced practitioners — not junior staff — who stay close to the work and stay accountable to your outcomes. We bring enterprise-grade discipline without the overhead that usually comes with it.

Our engagements are flexible, tailored, and built around what your program actually needs — not a pre-packaged methodology.

How We Operate
1
We diagnose before we prescribe
Every engagement starts with an honest look at what's actually going wrong — not assumptions based on what we've seen elsewhere.
2
Seniors stay in the work
The people you meet in the sales conversation are the people who show up to deliver. No bait and switch.
3
We build for your independence
We're not here to create dependency. We leave you with better structure, clearer processes, and a team that can sustain the work after we exit.
4
Flexible by design
Fractional, project-based, or embedded — we structure engagements around what works for your budget and your timeline.
What We Do

Four core capabilities.

These aren't generic service lines. Each one addresses a specific pattern of breakdown we've seen repeatedly in complex programs — and know how to fix.

01 · Governance
Program Governance & Delivery Stabilization
When a program loses its structure — inconsistent reporting, unclear escalation paths, workstreams going in different directions — we come in and rebuild the delivery foundation. We restore rhythm, clarify who owns what, and get stakeholders back on the same page.

02 · Delivery Capacity
Delivery Capacity & Talent Solutions
Sometimes the missing piece is experienced delivery leadership. We provide fractional or embedded practitioners who can step into your program — as a PMO lead, workstream owner, or transformation advisor — and start contributing from day one, while also helping you access the right specialized expertise at the right time to strengthen delivery without adding unnecessary overhead.

03 · Transformation
Business & Operational Transformation
We work with teams who need to redesign how they operate — streamlining processes, clarifying roles, and building operating models that actually scale. We focus on changes that stick, not just changes that look good in a deck.

04 · Execution Support
Transformation Execution Support
The gap between strategy and delivery is where most transformations fall apart. We sit at that intersection — connecting business goals, technology teams, and vendors into a coherent delivery structure that keeps everyone accountable and moving forward.

Quick Check

Is your program showing these warning signs?

These are the patterns that show up in programs that are at risk. The earlier you address them, the easier they are to fix.

Let's Assess Your Program

Most initial conversations take 30 minutes. No pitch — just a real look at where things stand.

  • Milestone dates keep slipping — and no one can clearly explain why
  • Business and technology teams have stopped trusting each other's numbers
  • Issues are reaching leadership too late — or not at all
  • Vendor commitments aren't being tracked against actual delivery
  • Team leads are unclear on priorities or who owns shared dependencies
  • Confidence in the program — internally or externally — is starting to slip
How We Work

Three phases.
One clear goal.

We follow a consistent engagement model that's designed to create momentum quickly — and make sure it lasts well beyond our involvement.

Understand the real situation
We start by getting the full picture — interviewing stakeholders, reviewing program artifacts, and mapping where execution has broken down. No assumptions. We need to understand your context before we can help you move forward.
Restore structure and momentum
We put the governance infrastructure in place that your program needs — clear decision rights, escalation paths, reporting cadences, and accountability ownership. This is the foundation that makes everything else work.
Deliver and hand off cleanly
We drive toward your program goals while building the internal capability that sustains delivery after we're gone. The measure of a good engagement is that you don't need us anymore when it's over.
Who We Work With

Built for leaders
with real pressure.

Our clients come from a range of roles and industries — but they share one thing in common: they're accountable for programs that have to work.

Technology Leaders
Managing complex system implementations, platform migrations, or multi-vendor delivery programs where alignment keeps breaking down.
Operations Leaders
Driving operational transformation or large-scale process redesign that can't afford to disrupt day-to-day business performance.
Small Business Leaders
Running a growing business and need experienced delivery support — someone to take ownership of a critical initiative, bring structure to a chaotic project, or help you implement the tools and processes that actually scale.
Finance & Risk Leaders
Overseeing regulatory, reporting, or enterprise programs where governance rigor and delivery accountability are non-negotiable.

Selected Engagements

Problems we've helped solve.

Wealth Management · System Implementation
A leading wealth management division needed to consolidate multiple investment solutions into a single platform — a multi-year transformation with no clear operational roadmap.
Operations teams had no representation in the program and no readiness plan. We embedded within the Operations group, identified key stakeholders, led end-to-end UAT and training, and coordinated across Ops, Product, Scrum, Technology, and the platform vendor. We worked directly with senior leadership to secure funding and backfill critical SMEs at key delivery phases. A 1-year engagement extended to 3 years based on the impact delivered.
Platform implemented successfully across all go-live phases. Operations fully trained and ready at every milestone.
Capital Markets · Regulatory Compliance
A global financial institution needed to implement a new margin model to meet regulatory requirements for non-cleared OTC derivatives — a multi-business effort with no clear delivery ownership.
The initiative spanned Technology, Operations, Legal, and Regulatory Reporting with misaligned timelines and fragmented accountability. We brought structure to the cross-functional delivery model, established governance across all workstreams, and kept the program on track through a hard regulatory deadline with zero tolerance for delay.
Regulatory compliance achieved on schedule. No penalties or reporting gaps.
Financial Services · Business Resiliency
A Federal Reserve mandate required a major financial institution to evaluate and rebuild contingency procedures for a critical trading group — with direct market liquidity implications.
Existing procedures were outdated and untested against current risk scenarios. We led the resiliency assessment, identified gaps in third-party dependencies, rebuilt contingency documentation, and validated all procedures against regulatory requirements — coordinating tightly across Operations, Technology, and Legal under active regulatory scrutiny.
Mandate remediated. Updated continuity procedures approved and fully operationalized.
